I am not suppose to reach out to the masses, and I am suppose to keep these things completely in house, but playing professional sports is not like your typical job. I am currently in a situation in which I am torn between the two. I have an un-dying love for football unlike anything ever.
I love when i get hit and can barely see when i try to get up, I even love when I can barely breath after returning a long run. I even love the terrible smell of the pads and the locker room cause its what football is all about.
I grew up on team, no I in team, all for one and one for all, you get the picture... Playing in the NFL it's all i i i i i i i i ...... I am my own business and it is no longer really all for one but all for you and your own family... I am careful now on making friendds because they might not be there the next day as if they vanished into thin air....
I am in need of a new contract, it's not about the money but then again it is. I know my worth and i feel that I can no longer short change myself or my family. Anyone in my position would make the same move and maybe even take it a step further... I can't afford to hold out but I know it is what's needed. It is not about how I have been playing and what I think I deserve, I guess it is now a business decision. As far as business what should I do, hold out, or just play without any upgrade for my company? WOOSSAAHH
